BIOGRAPHY
Mason Weiss (he/they) is a multidisciplinary artist from Los Angeles whose practice moves between sculpture, photography, and wearable forms. Working primarily with beads and textiles, he transforms his materials into autobiographical vessels that hold memory, play, and transformation. Rooted in both play theory and queer theory, Weiss’s work reimagines identity as something fluid and expansive—an archive in constant becoming.

Weiss received his BFA in Sculpture with a minor in Writing and Literature from California College of the Arts in 2019. He was awarded the Society of Friends scholarship to attend the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in 2025, and he completed a six-month residency at GlogauAIR in Berlin from October 2022 to March 2023. Since 2024, he has been part of The Bureau of Queer Art | InResidency, where his work continues to unfold within a network of international queer artists.

His work has been shown internationally in exhibitions including the solo show Bare All (Artsy), Dismantled at Maryland Art Place in Baltimore, TRYST Art Fair LA, Clavo Feria de Arte during Mexico City Art Week, and The Eternal Network at Berlin Art Week. Through his practice, Weiss crafts tender mythologies of queer kinship, time, and selfhood.
